Chengdu University, where the Universiade Village of the 31st World University Summer Games will be located in 2021, was established in 1978 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, with a history of 100 years. The university has a 100-year history of 3A grade affiliated hospital and the Sichuan Industrial Institute of Antibiotics, which is a national antibiotic research and development base.

Focusing on the core qualities of high-quality applied talents, technological development and industrial progress needs, the university sets up scientifically disciplines and majors, and constantly promotes the integration between disciplines and majors. There are 10 disciplines and 62 undergraduate majors in art, literature, management, education, economics, law, engineering, medicine, science and agriculture. There are two disciplines of first-level authorized for master's degree, seven professional degree categories, and a postdoctoral innovation and practice base, which was approved as a project construction unit authorized for doctoral degree in Sichuan Province in 2017.
The school provides a double room for postgraduates at 8000 yuan per year, and four rooms for undergraduates and language students at 5000 yuan per year.The dormitory has air conditioning, furniture, network port (router to be purchased by students, network fee to pay), public refrigerator, public kitchen, public laundry room, reading room, independent toilet and bathroom.
